How can I quit drinking soda when I feel caffiene is taking over my life?
How I did it: I often crave soda, but rather than drinking it all the time, I take a few sips or only have one glass and then have a tall glass of ice water. I've gotten to a point where even my favorite soda just doesn't taste as good as it used to and I would much rather have water or juice.

...because I’m down to 1 can/bottle/glass a week, pretty much, and I can live with that. I never wanted to cut it out completely.
...with my “Drink more water” goal. Obviously, the more water I drink, the less pop I’ll need or want.
So far today, I’ve had 6 glasses of water and a can of club soda. I’m not counting club soda as part of this goal, because it doesn’t have any sugar or calories. It’s just water that happens to be fizzy.
I used to drink tons of soda as a kid. It’s bad for your teeth with all the sugar. Now I’m an H20 gal and feel much more hydrated and have far fewer cavities :)

bad for me! He showed me I was maybe compounding the increase in my risk of developing a certain condition. I’ve decided not to do carbonated soft drinks any more because of this. The only exception I’ll make is driving long distances, like over two or three hours.
...one pepsi and one gingerale. They just didn’t taste right to me. Clearly, 2 is too many.
I’ve been drinking a lot of club soda, and not nearly as much of the sweetened stuff.
I gave pop up for lent, and it is TOUGH!! I haven’t had any for over 4 weeks now. I will most likely drink it again when lent is over, but I am going to try to keep away from it as much as possible.

I probably have soda once every month or two, if that often.
I bought a bottle (750mL) of Pepsi this week, and I’ve only been drinking it a bit at a time. Before, I would have drunk the whole thing and then gone looking for more.
