Varnish some of my paintings

to create a “quasi varnish” it seemed to work fine. I’ll mark this goal complete

in a class today with the Gamblin rep. I am going to try his formula.

but my hand (from the burn) is killing me. I HOPE to do it tomorrow, Sunday.

There are different schools of thought about varnish. I varnished some last year with retouch varnish but now I am looking into varnishing paintings as a matter of course after they have dried sufficiently. Some painters do this after a month or so some tell me it is mandatory to wait 6 months. I have some varnish that you have to mix made by Gamblin. I’ll start there (and work on some paintings I don’t care too much about in case it goes wrong)
