Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Lcee09Looking around. . .

I’ve been looking at stuff online. . . I really don’t think I care for any trends. I’m definitely into mixing styles. Hmm. . . I need to work on this one. :/ 4 years ago

Lcee09Made some changes

I haven’t totally revamped my look yet, but I did get a new hair cut (including straight bangs!) that supposedly makes me look younger (which is nice since I have always looked older than I am) and had my hair dyed a dark brown. I wasn’t really looking to have my hair dyed as dark as it turned out, but it looks really good, so I’m pleased with these parts of my new style. My face has also started clearing up. Yeah!! Now, I need to play with make-up, lose some weight, and get toned! Oh, and find a style other than typical jeans and a t-shirt college kid. ;) 4 years ago

rachelle1010ugh, so sick of my old boring look.

i am verrry bored of the way i look. i look okay in pictures, but in real life i hate the way i look. my eyelashes never go the way i want them to even when i have tried over 5 different mascaras. my eyeshadow always creases… ALWAYS. it never fails. any my hair gets unstraightened throughout the day, and i wear a ton of hairspray. ughhh! MY GOAL IS TO: get my hair cut at least three inches and layred, died dark brown, buy ALL new makeup and start fresh, once my mom goes back to work i can buy more clothes that i like, and maybe i will feel better about myself! here is a picture of myself:::dowwn there! 6 years ago

this is an area where one has to be careful: sometimes it’s fun to reinvent one’s look, but never lose sight of who you are! 6 years ago

I’ve already started with my hair. I changed it up a bit. Instead of an afro, I have layered hair cut. It’s nice. Maybe I’ll do something different next week. 6 years ago

aj824done with the haircut

went to the salon yesterday to get my hair done.. i’m just too embarrassed to wear it the way the stylist intended it to be.. i’ve got shorter hair now… just shorter… coz i still wear it the same old way… 7 years ago
