This was not an easy task, my reports, essays, pictures, several colages, movies, doodlings, stories were all over the place. I gathered them, printed the ones that were in my external and internal hard drives. took stills from videos, printed color copies and found a great portfolio bag. placed each article very carefully, neatly and tidy.

So, I’m actually starting to annoy myself as far as procrastination on this project goes.
I have this awesome idea for my writing portfolio, but literally thousands of pages to type up and format before sorting…yeah, not my thing.
Anyways, I made a 2009 to-do list…kinda like ‘Super New Year Resolution List’ (which will be up here soon hopefully) and this is definitely on there. I think one year to get all of my past writings together and formatted should be long enough.

psychoticfaerie is kind of wishing she had the will power to achieve what she wants to
I would really like to make a port folio of my written works to try and get into journalism at CIT

i went in on thursday to get a brief of what we’re being asked to do over the summer. in a nutshell, we’ve to document two memories – one happy, one sad – in a sketchbook, via the senses. taste has been omitted for obvious reasons, but outside of sight and touch it’s going to be difficult to convey. it’s been left fairly open, which i’m not sure i like: the designer in me loves the challenge of restrictions. i am very excited about this. the people on the course – or, the ones that were there on the day, as there were two – seem pretty cool, and the work of the students last year was amazing.

I did it… I am yet to know the effects of it, IE I’ve not yet had my interview where I need to show my work but it is done. It’s rather photography heavy but I guess that is because that is my main way of working these days :)
I was a bit down about my lack of painting & drawing (or rather work that I was happy enough with) but I stepped back from it and have accepted what I do have & feel inspired to practice & improve both my painting and drawing techniques.

Well, I’ve done the photography part of this. I am very happy with what I have got for that but I’ve gone through all of my drawing and painting work & am not too happy…. I don’t think it is good enough. My standards are higher now & I can see that I lacked finesse in the past.
My teachers used to tell me I was doing well, maybe I was for my age but now years later I am not satisfied! I think I need to email the tutor again & ask what she wants to see, I feel a little confused right now. I don’t want to submit work that I am not happy with.

but I need to have some pieces of work put together to present to the course I am planning to start next month.
I have a lot to draw on but it is just all over the place right now. I have not really thought about my work in terms of a portfolio before so I am going to have to think a lot about how I want to present it.
It is going to be a wonderful challenge, I am really looking forward to it! I want to have it done by the end of the weekend too…
