Run with the bulls in Pampalona

My kid brother suggested we do a trip together, made me think I’d like to share this with him (i.e. he video tape and I risk my life)

I’ve pitched it to him and if he’s in I might just get this done.

Okay so year 4 of my attempt starts on July 8th. Why you ask, well maybe I should have takens a friends advice and bought the ticket a few months ago (locking me into it). As it stands now I have family visiting and can’t simply take off to Spain. Plus a new project’s had a delayed start so if I were to go I’d be leaving in the begining of a new task (well could still have done that) simply put though this year doesn’t seem likely.
On the bright side I’m still single and it doesn’t look like that will change next year so I’m still kinda on track (How do you do a sarcastic smiley face again ? :D ).

no sooner did I write the last price drop and i got an email from Orbitz (yesterday) saying that the price was down to 643. Clicked on the link they offered and it kept quoting me 800 to 743, totally frustrating that i didn’t waste time and they still weren’t offering me the price that they lured me in with.
Well no worries simply went into my settings and set the acceptable price even lower (as revenge :D ).

Price of tickets have come down by 200 but still not as low as I’d anticipated, question is, is this as good as it gets ?
I guess it might be and more importantly I should lock in a booking so I don’t get side tracked like I have the last 3 years

Problem is July seems to be a peek season or something as the prices range in 1150 area.
Any suggestions on how I can get a better deal, should I wait or book now ?

Mapped it and realized that it might make sense to land there on the 5th and drive down to pampalona. Having a car would also mean that I have the freedom to write other adventures :)

I can do it, got the vacation time saved up and looks like I’m still going to be single then.
Been searching for ticket prices online for Spain

Used my vacation to go to a family wedding (totally worth it).
Got back and found this reminder of the run

am I disuaded ? Nah, its still a life long goal (but I’ll only do it if I am not married (got to consider who else will be affected by my risking my life).

I had to choose between taking a vacation (to do the bull run) or switch jobs (advance my career). I chose to advance my career. But there’s always next year

Running with the bulls is possibly one of the most insane things you can do, and definitely right up there with the essential European experiences. My cousin did it a few years back, and I can’t be outdone ;)
