The dream journal seems to be going well. But I’m having some trouble sleeping, or rather falling asleep. And when I do manage to fall asleep, I end up sleeping for about 10 hours. I’ve had this problem in the past since I have a natural iron deficiency. I’ll probably need to regulate this a little bit better, so I can have a normal sleep cycle. Back to iron supplements, I think. 8 months ago
Last night was interesting – in my dream, I actually reminded myself that I needed to remember to document it in my dream journal. I don’t know if that means that I knew I was dreaming? 8 months ago
I’ve been getting a little better at remembering my dreams… BUT from the time that I regain consciousness to the time when I actually get out of bed, I forget details and sometimes even the whole dream. Next steps should be to practice more reality checks during the day and keep a notepad by my bed to jot down little bits of my dream right when I wake up (and expand on those notes in the dream journal later). 8 months ago
Apparently the most important things to do first are to make a dream journal and know what strategies to employ during the day while awake. I have to admit I’m a little skeptical but I want to give this a shot. There’s nothing to lose, really. So I’ve made my dream journal and written my first entry about last night’s dream. I’ve also downloaded some theta binaural beats that are supposed to be helpful to listen to.
This is an interesting little website about brain frequencies, kind of hokey in some parts but some parts of the overall list was interesting:

And this is a program where you can make your own binaural beats (I haven’t tried it out yet):
