The Largest Agricultural Fair in Pennsylvania 2 years ago

I went to the Crawford County Fair yesterday. It’s the largest agricultural fair in Pennsylvania, having more farm animals than any other county fair in the state. From cows and horses, to swine and sheep, rabbits and goats, there’s even fowl there. I went to the baked goods auction and bought the blue ribbon peach pie for $12 and the blue ribbon apple cobbler for $11. There were a couple new rides that looked really fun, but I didn’t go on them. I ran into some relatives, and my parents who were with me ran into lots of their coworkers this first night of the week long fair. It’s a good thing we went yesterday because it rained today. Then again it always rains at least one or two days fair week, so that’s keeping with tradition.

fair 2 years ago

I went to the San Diego County Fair this year and I’ve also been to it a couple of times several years ago…back when it used to be called the Del Mar Fair. The name changed, but it’s still the same fun place to go on fair rides and get full eating fair food. I’ve been to the Orange County Fair in (I think it was) 2002. It wasn’t as big as the one in Del Mar though. I still want to go to the LA County Fair even though I heard it wasn’t that great…

Potter and Crawford 2 years ago

A couple weeks ago I went to the Potter County fair for the first time since I moved here in 1991. It was small and there wasn’t much to it. I’m glad I went though as I was able to support the Hebron School at their booth, as well as get some maple cotton candy. I won’t go again.

This weekend I’m going to go to the Crawford County fair with my parents. I haven’t been there in many years. There’s a baked goods auction that we’ve never gone to again, so we’re going to check that out.

Times are changing... 2 years ago

...but the annual fair still goes on.

Today I went to the Douglas County fair here in Roseburg. As always the Funtastic rides were there, as always there were animals on show, and as always I ordered a giant funnel cake.

But times are changing, most noticeable in the exhibits. At this fair there were two large exhibition halls with entirely trade or advocacy booths. I scored a cool water bottle and keychain from the Environmental booth, and discussed wifi options with two different wireless internet vendors.
