landscape the yard

I was never so happy to see concrete.
It so pretty and straight without cracks.
Now when you get out of the drivers side of the car you don’t have to step into the dirt/mud! YEAH!

I was to put some bricks alongside of it to make it a bit more Tudor-ish. I also got some solar path light on clearance at Home depot to put along the sidewalk before you get to the front door. It really dark before the porch light sensor turns on.

I’m not putting in ANYTHING nice in the yard until all of the construction crew are long gone. They trash everything. I even had to buy new trashcans!!!

Ok, so before I can landscape the yard, I really need to get a plan. In lieu of a plan, I need to at least prove I can do the upkeep on what we have. This weekend, I pruned the hedges and chopped down some volunteer trees. My husband took the chainsaw to the jungle around the garage. I will need to repair and repaint the garage now that I can see all the damage to it. sigh. Next up…. getting all the weeds out of the garden beds.

On the other hand, the huge pile of debris out front of the house waiting for bulk pick up almost makes up for the sunburn. Next time – use sunblock.

We put up a privacy fence and need to hide it with bushes. i would like to use native , bird friendly, plants

Sort of a dirt river look. I have seen it when they have made a grass and fake river out of rocks, but not a wood bark and sand river. I guess it is supposed to look like a dry river bed?
Well it beats what I have at the moment, the kitties next door are using my yard as a litter box. And the dogs just trample anything I have ever planted…

I do not like to plant a grow things, I like destructive gardening like pulling weeds and lopping off branches :D I love my Loppers, Weed Whacker,Electric Garden Shears, Weed Digger tool, Shovel, Hand Pruners,Big Rake, Hose Nozzle with 6 setting!, And my really tall ladder, I’m on, that freaks out the nannies when they walk by! LOL!
Now let me add to this no one in my house EVER helps me and I like to do this about 4 times a year. I do live at the beach so the plants need to like sand and dry conditions. I have allergies so nothing with tons of pollen. I like green plants with white flowers.I do like the “Stepables” Grass.
