Straight hair under all this dye! 3 weeks ago

Exactly a month ago I decided it`s time to let my natural color grow out. After 12 years i`m sick and tired of spending my days in the salon. Been a blond for first 7 years and there after i started to experiment with different shades of brown.
Now i had enough. Been spending loads on products to keep it straight and healthy looking, but from all the color over the years it`s curly and do not want to stay soft and shiny for long.
And to think i have straight hair underneath it all.

My hairstylist changed it to a color similar to my own, or what i think it will be, so now i just have to stay strong, but can tell you after a month i`m already tempted. But i just have to do this.

Good luck to everyone else out there!

I have recently decided that I want my natural hair color back. I have been highlighting my naturally dark blonde/light brown hair very light blonde for 6 years and I miss the way it used to feel when it was natural. I feel like my hair is stringy/dry at the ends and oily at the roots! (eww) I am graduating college soon and cannot afford these expensive salon treatments anymore. Wish me luck guys! I will give more feedback in a couple months…hopefully no highlighting urges come about…

i’ve been dying my hair for the past 5/6 years now and i’ve had enough, it’s too much hassle and now i’m getting the dog i’ll be needing the extra cash so… why not go back natural, only problem is my natural is dark blonde whilst my dyed hair is dark brown, now the suns out my roots go a bit yellow!!
I’m going to keep it up though, i like my natural hair colour, it’ll be worth it in the end… i hope!

I’ve been spending over $120 a month for a long, long time to add highlights and lowlights and cover my gray (not even including the cut and style). It hit me the other day that this has been an incredible amount of money spent (that we’ve barely been able to afford) to what comes down to assuaging my vanity. Ridiculous! I’m way past the age of attracting admiring male attention, and that’s what the hair fussing was all about. I’m done with it, and I can’t tell you how liberating it feels!

While my hair isn’t back to it’s natural color, I marked this goal off since I’d committed to not dying it anymore. Committing and waiting it out is the most I can do short of getting a boy cut to get rid of all my dyed hair. Today, my best friend took off a good seven inches, so my natural color to dyed hair ratio has increased favorably. And, it was great to be impulsive again.

Ahhh so much temptation to dye my hair again ! lol … must stay strong and ignore the dark side of the moon growing on the top of my head.

Last summer I dyed my hair red, which looks really good, and I’ve kept it for this entire year. But, now I’m kind of bored with it. I also recently cut my uber-long hair to a bob. So, I’ve decided to go back to my natural blonde hair. I want it to be able to blend really well with my roots, which are ashy blonde (they almost look grey) because I’m going abroad this fall and don’t want to have to touch up my red hair while I’m there. Wish me luck!
