become closer to my brother

i called my brother when my ex from high school came in town derby week and he didn’t answer…but he called back the next day and we talked and he told me his wife had a myspace account so i finally got to see pictures of how he looks now. i haven’t seen him in 13 years! when he found out i was going to vegas he told me to come see him instead. it’s the first time he’s ever mentioned wanting to see me. i was shocked! he also told me to tell my boyfriend that if he messes with me that i have a redneck brother who will come up and kick his ass. it was such a brotherly thing to say i teared up. i’m so happy! now i have to plan a trip to ga this summer!

i called my brother on christmas eve and he still hasn’t called me back. i’m not giving up! i think i’ll try to call him this weekend.

my brother called recently and it was the best conversation we’ve had to date. he and his wife are trying to conceive. i’m going to be an aunt one day!

my brother called to tell me my grandmother passed away. there was a falling out in the family twelve years ago when my mom passed and i hadn’t spoken to her in eleven years. it made me realize the importance of seeing my brother again. i don’t want to lose him without having a chance to see him and reconcile everything that happened.

my brother received his collage on friday and called me and he sounded really choked up and said he loved me! and then he called back a few hours later and told me again! i hope this is the first step towards reconciliation.

i taped down the pictures today, now i just have to send the collage to him. for once, procrastination has payed off in my favor! my brother gave me his po box number and UPS won’t deliver to a po box. he left his street address on my voice mail the other day telling me this.

i finally finished putting all the family pictures together for the collage. tomorrow i have to tape them down and tues i’ll be sending it to my brother through UPS. also, i called him today and left him a message. he hasn’t called back yet.

i finally broke down and called him back…and got his voice mail. i explained to him that whenever he calls i’m usually at work, which is true. i also asked for his address so i could send the collage to him. he called and left his address and i got out all the pictures to work on it. i am going to finish it sunday afternoon and send it monday morning…and i’m going to call him tomorrow when i get up.

my brother has called three times in the past hour but my battery is almost dead. i can’t avoid it any longer. i have to call him. the longer i wait the harder it will be to salvage our relationship.
