I visited Nepal last November 07 (my first time out of the country), and it was absolutely amazing. However, I feel fear and culture shock held me back from having the most amazing experience possible. I want to go back again, this time without my issues holding me back.
The last time I went, we visited two different villages and two different schools. Then we trekked. This time, I want to do one of two things… I either want to forgo the trek and stay in a village to work in the school, or I want to extend the trip and trek after I stay in a village to work in the school.
I also want to raise 10x the amount of money I raised for the schoolgirls this trip. I raised $350 this trip. Again, fear held me back from raising more (I have a fear of asking people for money – no excuse, though).
