drink a mojito

A fantastic barman made a sugar free one of these for me last night. It was amazing and I’m pleased to report I had only one.

I’ve drunk it twice in a bar a long time ago and I liked it. Some days ago my boyfriend’s friends gave the idea to prepare it in their lunch in a beach house. I helped to do it. It’s easy, but I don’t remember the quatities of the things we used because we did to a lot of people. You can prepare and tasty until it be like you prefer. In the last Saturday, in the reunion before the party, we tried again and it was great again. I think I’ll ask in the next time in a bar and compare my mojito with one made by a professional :D If you wanna try, I found this recipe:

Classic Mojito

Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz light rum, 1 tbs superfine sugar, Lime wedges, Club soda, Mint sprigs

Muddle mint leaves, superfine sugar and lime in a mixing glass. Add 1 1/2 oz light rum and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain the mixture into a tall glass and top with club soda. Garnish with fresh mint sprig. Sugarcane syrup can be used to replace superfine sugar.

I had one last night. I’m going to leave this to the professionals, I guess. It was delish. A nice balance of sweet and tang and mint. With a tasty sliver of sugar cane in it. Oh, so lovely.

For $11.00 a pop, it should be as good as it was. I figure that was table rental at the little bar we went to after the reading last night.

I’ve been drinking since I was 12 [I will be 22 in 13 days] and I have NEVER had a mojito!! I need to try one. I’ve heard that they’re good…but I sort of have this phobia of clear drinks. I only like clear drinks if they are SHOTS. Shots = ♥

Are there other well-known mixed drinks with fresh herbs? How about fresh basil?

I was told about this drink on my crazy night out last Friday. I hear the place to get it in San Francisco is Harry’s. Somewhere on Fillmore?

so i went out to a restaurant, the CA pizza Kitchen, and had the rasperry mojito, it was good, however i only had 2 sips, cant wait to try others! :)
