become more earth friendly

I decided today while grocery shopping to pick up several containers for various purposes when it comes to my lunch. Besides trying to be more green, I get sick and tired of eating squashed sandwiches and food from little baggies – it gets into those corners and you never get it out!

I picked up a grouping of little single cup serving round containers by glad for yogurt and granola and such – little things – a proper sized sandwich container (with an un-cracked lid unlike every other one we have in the house) and a decent sized drink bottle for juice and water. Am very pleased with myself.

I also took two huge bags of bottles and cans to the bottle depot and got 11.60 in returns. Green and profitable!

It’s been a good couple of weeks for being more earth friendly. Am going to replace the bulbs in my bedroom, office, and bathroom next!

i would like to start making steps to do my part to hook the earth up with some goodness.
planting trees, buying recycled toilet paper, using those crazy swirly light bulbs. you know, that kind of thing.
maybe even making a compost heap if i start feeling really ambitious.
