We bought a house over a year ago. It has alot of potential, but the yard needs ALOT of weeding and other changes. My dtr will be three next month, so it’s been hard to work on it in the past. Now that she is getting a little older, I WILL make my yard look pretty, peaceful, relaxing and colorful.
My yard is my biggest challenge these days. It is big and hasn’t had much love the past couple of years with working full-time, then getting pregnant, then having a new baby, and then that baby becoming a toddler. Getting out and working in the yard has been very low on the to-do list.
I’ve gone a little crazy buying annuals this year, so I have lots of flowers around the front deck. But the rest of the front and back yards need some serious attention.
are all weeded and mulched. If anything, I might add some things; perrenials I’ve thinned out from other areas or maybe some bulbs that will bloom in the Spring :-)
yay! I even made a garden map of everything I have growing so I can remember what I have and where it’s growing. I’ve started the front yard and I’m about half-way done :-)
a little bit every day for awhile, then I kinda slacked off. I’d like to get this done before the season ends so I don’t have too much weeding in the Spring. I’m also thinning out some flowers that have over-grown so in the Spring, I can have a nice weed free garden and just wait for things to come up and enjoy :-)
I have the next 6 days off work and have a goal of spending at least two hours every day in the yard pulling weeds and planting veggies/flowers. Unless it rains. I swear it’s rained every day for the month. The weeds Really Like the rain.
