We bought an HD receiver a few months ago and canceled the cable. I download anything I need to watch.

...but ex-fiancee isn’t moving out until Oct. 15th, so it will have to wait until he is gone for me to call, since they disconnect immediately!
I finnely canceled my directv. I have been thinking about it as I mindlesly click though the channels and finding nothing on. I ask myself is it worth the 600 a year I am paying and the answer was No it is wasn’t. I can do a lot more better things with that money.
I just have not been able to do this. We would like to do it to save money, but all the channels I like are the ones we would have to give up!
Honestly, the past week I haven’t watched much tv, but now that I am starting a 65 hr work week soon I would like to be able to come home and veg out!
This came about when I was cutting costs after I went back to school. I canceled all the miscellaneous doo-hickies that come with your phone service too. Anyway, at first it was a little difficult to get out of the habit of turning on the the tv when I ate dinner, and leaving it on for noise while I worked—but I have found that I got a LOT more accomplished without that distraction. There are occasional shows that I still liked to watch (all the CSI), so a family member tapes them and I can then just set aside down time to watch.
