How I did it: after my financial aid got messed up fall semester, I felt really weird about going back to school and getting my shit together, but it was totally worth it. My advice would be to stop putting it off. Write the emails, make the phone calls, pick up the forms.just DON'T wait. The more time goes by, the harder it is. Read how I did it… 20 months ago

In the last two years, I’ve overcome some tremendous hurdles to accomplish this. I moved across country, gained my state residence, and got accepted into a highly competitive, selective major at the school of my choice.
Now I’m commuting there 1.5 hours (each way), twice a week, sitting through some mind-numbing GE, and I’m the oldest person in every class.
SO WHAT’S YOUR EXCUSE? Do it! :) 22 months ago

I’ve wanted to, but never had a focus until recently. I’m signed up for a few classes this fall. I never finished my degree the first time around, and now I’m officially considered “independant” from my rich, unhelpful parents, as far as FAFSA is concerned. To boot, I have a very flexible job. All the cards are in my favor! Now I just have make the classes. 4 years ago
