be better at reading tarot

I’m pretty good at reading my own cards, but not at others. I should just practice on people.

I’ve started a new regiment where I will practice reading Tarot once a week. Hopefully this will help.

When you have a question in mind and the reading makes no sense? I know that there is an answer there, but I’m just not seeing it…

Past: 10 of cups
Present: 7 of Swords
Future: Ace of Wands

I have done a number of simple readings for myself. They all seem to be very telling if I am totally focused on my question. When I’m not, it seems to be total nonsense.

I would like to get to the point where I simply know what all the cards mean, but we’ll see.

And I did my first reading with it. As usual, it was right on the money and told me exactly what I needed to know. But maybe the answer was inside me the whole time…I suspect that’s how things like this actually work. That you aren’t revealing some sort of supernatural truth, but instead are exploring your thoughts and feelings through prompted thoughts.

But then again, I am one who believes in a world beyond what we see. Who knows? Not I. Definitely, not I.

I am ordering myself the book and card deck “Domestic Divination.” Not the most serious of decks, but from what I read the information is good and it’s fun.

I haven’t studied properly for over a year, I think, just some readings here and there. I just don’t have the confidence to do readings for other people.

I haven’t practiced in about three weeks or more. I need to jump on it!

I would enjoy any help with interpretation of these cards. From left to right they represent Past Influence, Situation, Crossing and Outcome.

What I asked my cards is what challenges do I face at work at the moment. I’m facing a decision of whether to part and go with a former member of management. This easily explains The Lovers in the Past Influence position.

What I’m reading is that the reversed Ace of Wands in the Situation represent blind opportunity, and the reversed 10 of Wands in the Crossing represents a fear of oppression preventing me from acting.

I’m reading the reversed 9 of Swords is telling me that I’m not going to be entirely happy no matter which decision I make. I need to find another line of work. Which really substantiates what I already know.
