Buy a banjo

While I primarily play guitar, banjo is a fun challenge – you have to think differently and finger/pluck differently.
Banjo is almost like an indigenous American sitar of sorts, it’s a drone instrument, and you can play a kind of raga on it, as well as
other great stuff. Check out Pete Seeger’s banjo playing.

One of the techniques that people are trying on kids with ADHD now is to over-stimulate rather than under-stimulate. I know that I have some flavor of ADHD, so, rather than learning guitar well and then branch off to banjo, I am going to try to learn both concurrently. We’ll see if it does anything better than confusing the hell out of me…
