"OUCH! It was a year of a dirty house and neglected friends, but they showed up on race day and cheered me through hell. It was awesome and I now I'm hooked."

How I did it: First, you talk about doing one while you're young...but that gets you nowhere.

Then you spend $500 to register and suddenly you're motivated. I think Louisville is the only IM that doesn't sell out the day registration is opened up. But it is a great course.

    Almost there 3 weeks ago

    I will be at Cozumel doing the Ironman on November 29 of this year. That will complete the first part of this goal, which is getting there. I hope to finish. If not, the next goal will be to finish an Ironman.

    I was fairly well advanced on my training, but suffered some setbacks. I hope there is enough left to complete the beast the first time around.

    If you have it in your head to accomplish this goal its totally worthwhile… I finished Florida in November of 2006 it was an amazing day….

    You need to dedicate yourself to it… its a ton of training but its totally worth while..!!
