I had forgotten about this! I’m so happy for the reminder. I had a star named after me in 2002. It was a valentines gift. 5 years ago

Not sure how to go about completing this goal, aside from naming it myself, and that, somehow, is just not an option. My family is far too practical to waste the money on such a frivolity, and part of me knows they’re right. It is silliness in its purest form: Spending money to name a star that no one ever sees after a person that no one knows.
This one will have to go on the back burner until someone somewhere gets inspired to do it. Maybe one day when that knight in shining armour comes along, he’ll find out about this dream and do it purely to make me happy.

But my brother named a star Purple Heather for me when I was having a really tough time just over 10 years ago.
I know it’ll always be officially known by it’s boring alphanumeric scientific name but I don’t care.
He is a star. 6 years ago
It was a romantic present to a close friend. One star is named for her “Heather Alicia Burt” and the other is named for me. We will circle each other in the heavens for a really long time. Sure is nice to be romantic …
