Learn how to make electronic music

I want to start an electronic music group with my boyfriend. Neither of us have the slightest clue how to make this kind of music. My boyfriend is looking into taking piano lessons and I want to research the computer aspect. Once we are more knowledgeable, we will buy some equipment.

My goal is to research how to make music by September 1st.

I have been messing with elecronic . acoustic noise for some time and am enjoying it. However I wan’t to learn about synths from the inside out. Wet / dry? Feedback/ Distortion? Gain? High Shelf filter? etc…etc. So where to start without going to electro university. Any ideas?

Ive already got the name , have other friends to joint me in an electro band

Having heard Panda bear’s Person Pitch, I have become fascinated with sampling and loops and would like to learn these techniques.

Just found out about Apparat, who creates very nice music. His collaboration with Ellen Allien, called Orchestra of Bubbles, is very captivating, and somehow it soothes me very well (been under tremendous stress from work for some time now).

I wish I could create sounds like this.
