How to pierce my nipple

How I did it: bought the needles off ebay (pre-sterilized), wiped the needle and my left nipple with a couple of alcohol swabs, marked the entry and exit points, took some clamps that i had sitting around and tried using them but they were useless. Ended up just shoving it through and then had to put the wrong size jewellery through because I bought the wrong needles, but after a month I changed it to the bigger size with no problems. Lessons & tips: Make sure everything is sterile, buy a pair of clamps designed for piercings, the kind with a hole through them, to make sure you get it straight, it will save you a lot of time and a lot of pain. and if you want to put 14g jewellery through it, you need a 12g needle! the jewellery needs to fit in the hole in the end of the needle, I wasn't able to get the plastic tube thing through the hole and had to put 16g bar through.

i got my right nipple pierced about 2 years ago and I can’t imagine myself without it these days. Though I now have a longing to even things up and get the other one done, though I’m still undicided as to what looks best on guys. 1 or 2? O well, we’ll see what the future holds, eh?

so after i got my first tattoo and belly button pierced i was visiting my tattoo artist and he offered to pierce my nipples for free so i was like well this is my second offer so i should take it. and i luv then u have to be cleaning them all the time but they r still awesome… my friends thought i was crazy lol. but if u fell like doing something a little wild i say go for it :)

This hurt a whole lot less than I was expecting. The injections that I have to give myself for MS hurt more than this did.
The after care is going to take a lot of attention. This piercing takes 12-16 months to fully heal.
I got the piercing as a symbolic gesture to mark taking control of my life back. I like the long healing time… a reminder that a decision can be made quickly, but it takes an investment of time and energy to carry out that decision.

I’m feeling the need to reclaim my life and my body as my own. Piercing a nipple is a thought that’s been sitting in the back of my head for years, and I haven’t done it because of what someone else would think of it. I’m choosing to no longer give this person that control over my life. I have a laundry list of things that I need to change to get that control back, but this is something I can do quickly. A symbolic gesture.

To get this done in the next few weeks. My boyfriend asked me what I wanted for our anniversary coming up and this is what I suggested. Who Knows, with how many times I change my mind! Plus we are getting a hotel room downtown and going out to dinner…so I will wait and see exactly how much dinero we have in the first place.

It is worth doing, but not twice. I have this thing that I only ever wanted the right one done, then on holiday I lost the bar and it heeled up. I had to have it done again but they went through the scar tissue. Most painful thing I have ever done in my life. x
