This is an entry on learning about RSS feeds and Bloglines newsreader accounts. Still not sure where this is going, but am following the process.
How to learn about RSS feeds and setup my own Bloglines newsreader account.
How I did it: I read and watched the video explaining RSS in plain English. I discovered that the process is very simple and basic to understand. I already have a Google account, so setting up Google reader was almost automatic. I subscribed to a few library feeds just to test it out. I want to use this service for a while to see how to best organize the information.

The program Bloglines has very straightforward instructions. There are already a huge selection of feeds to choose from on various topics.
i like using netvibes as one of my home tabs on firefox to view my RSS feeds. this way i can also include other widgets like a clock, my email inbox, etc.
bloglines is nice for discovering lots of good RSS feeds though.
Obwohl ich bloglines erst seit kurzem benutze und zunächst sehr skeptisch war, ob sich das lohnt, muss ich sagen, dass ich es nicht missen möchte.
I definitely don’t know how RSS feeds are created, but I now know well how to add new subscriptions to my Feedblitz account, so I get emails that tell me when the sources I like are updated.
I did this last year, but then promptly forgot about it. Good to get back into the game!
I’ve been bookmarking and blogrolling and all I had to do was blogline! ;-)
I have been following blogs and newslines through an RSS aggregator for about 6 months now. Mine is through google and I subscribe to several blogs (mostly library related). In fact I get most of the technology related items for my library wiki from these feeds. I even found out about this staff project from someone’s blog.
