open a cupcake shop

To open a cupcake bakery has become my wildest dream. I can only imagine how great life would be for me, if it was so, that I could have one of my own. I have pretty much become obsessed with the idea, and I’m constantly trying to figure out how to make it work. Does anyone know how to even get the ball rolling ?! I wish I could just snap my fingers and make it happen, but it won’t, and I can’t. I’m aware. I just really would love some insight on how to make my dream, MY reality. :)

Having a bakery has been a dream of mine for years, and then I came accross a little cupcake shop and that did it for me, I feel that this is for me. I have made wedding cakes and speciality birthday cakes for years out of my home, but with cupcakes any day can be that special occasion. This is for me, this is what I will do.

I would like to open a cupcake shop somewhere sunny and warm. I went to Charleston, SC on holiday last year and went to an amazing store called Cupcake! which sold the most beautful selection of cakes and was all in pastel colours. It was great and I went back on two more occasions to try their daily specials.

Since then I have started making cupcakes at home, trying out new and different flavours and I would love to set up a shop where I can have my own hens and free range eggs, inventing new and exciting flavours like a crazy Heston Blumenthal of buns.

I made some cupcakes, I used applesauce instead of oil, added chocolate instant pudding & used hazelnut coffee instead of water. OmGEEE they were good, totally soft & just major yum!

I made a chocolate pudding & cool whip frosting too lite & fluffy super good & major low cal. We all loved em!

I have ideas of flavors I want to make, I plan on using the holidays to create them…I’ll test them on my family members and co-workers. I might even create comment cards so they can give me feedback. I’m even, hehe getting a new journal…one created JUST for my cupcake recipes and flavors as well as icings and names :P I’m having it made for me! I’m even excited about that haha

This just all feels so right.

A small business management class at my local jr college. It goes over everything you need to do to get started on owning/managing your own business. I’m currently wait listed but I think I’ll get in, numbers drop constantly…I hope I get in. It may be something to really help me decide which way to go with this goal of mine.

I’ve said it out loud!

I plan on going to school for culinary arts so I can accomplish this.

I’ve always been interested in opening my own business, and making cute and delicious treats, so why not do both?

I’m planning to also join it with another trade (not telling, I want to be unique) which will hopefully bring me lots of business and friends :]

I hope to do this in the next 5 years.
