it’s not easy to let go of money you’ve earned for more than half a year and spend it on debts that other people just don’t think about or worry after they’ve gone deep in debt.
however, i was once taught that what we owe is our responsibility to pay for. it was a lesson of maturity, fairness and sense – we give what is due to others, if we want to be given our due.
so finally, goodbye major credit card debt. all it takes is a strong will, faith in that good deeds will be rewarded and that the satisfaction in this action lies in the peace of mind you get after (and the restored purchasing power too, plus the lessons learned).
oh yes, it can be demonic. tempting. i’ve given in once too many times, and now i’m locked in a struggle to pay off my debts to the credit card companies. i’m doing my best, keeping the balances and the temptations to purchase more in check, which is the first step.
it’s not exactly the devil, and credit cards sometimes buy you that much needed time and to get what you want with somewhat fair compromises.
once everything’s paid up, i can finally afford to do what i really want with my money.
