AlextheSuperfly is trying not to cheat at the diet!
Hmmmm…life has sort of gotten in the way of this one. Unfortunately, my partner and I have had to move away so we no longer have a Jitsu club near us, so currently we’re sort of in temporary retirement! Also, my weight has gotten to be a significant issue now – I won’t be able to get even halfway though a warm-up unless I get down to it and lose some bloody weight!
So the plan: I’m currently on a healthy-eating diet, so hopefully I’ll be able to solve that little weight issue. The problem with the no local club is a little harder to solve, but it could still be do-able. Once I’ve lost some of the weight, I have two options:-
1) I get my partner fit enough and enthusiastic enough to open his own club. (He’s got the skills and the grade, but lacks motivation.) The up-side is that it would mean the creation of a VERY local club. The down-side is that it’s not really within my control.
2) I travel to a club that’s about 45 minutes away. This will depend a lot on the training times, as I need to be able to get there from work. The down-side is obviously the traveling. However, the up-side is that I don’t need to rely on my partner.
So, first thing is to continue with the diet and start getting some exercise in. Once I get down to a practicable weight and non-slobby fitness then I can start looking to the rest of it.
So, I’m down at the moment, but I’m on the way up! Wish me luck!!!
