Still looking. I’m so picky at finding a place lol!!!!!
How I did it: Craigslist! Right now we're living with another couple and I'm going insane. Our lease doesn't end until August, so we've compromised and will be moving into our new place (around the corner!!) in July, so I only have two more months to stick it out. Finally! No more slammy doors, no more recycling in the garbage, no more "backyard brought to you by tabacco." Read how I did it…

How I did it: I went around looking for places. I found a great one in my price range in a great part of town. I am so excited and I move in Monday. Its just about really taking time to get out there and talk to people and look at places. so you know you'll be satisfied with what your getting into. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started looking at places with a real estate agent and she showed me all these really nice places, which unfortunately were just not right for me. They were way too big and too expensive. I told her, but sthe still couldn't find what I was looking for and showed me stuff that I found on the internet for half the price. I almost gave up.What helped was a phone number a friend of mine got of someone who was looking for a roomate. I don't … Read how I did it…

I need to start writing down how much I make every day so that I can be more realistic about what I can afford. What would be even better…getting a 2nd job. I shouldn’t be so lazy! I just got my 6th shift for this next week so now I’m going to try to get one for the 7th day. I don’t mind working every day because my shifts are so short.

Did some looking yesterday and today. I checked out of two bd two ba, I kind of liked it. Today I looked at a two bd 1.5 ba and I wasn’t impressed with it as much as I was with the one I checked out yeaterday. Well I will keep looking and decide what I will do on Mar. 25. Until I will keep my options open and give others vacancies a chance.

STill looking!!! Everything is still the same. I did some searching yesterday. One apt was not well keeped, and the other one was too far from work, school and everywhere else but it was very nice. So today I’m gonna do some online searching since I haven’t been online in a while.

Sorry it’s been a few days since I last commented on my quest for an apartment, but here’s an update. I did some searching on
Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. I found out about these apts on Craigslist. There is one and a possible. I’m just waiting to do a view on Mar. 25 and the other will not be ready until Apr. 1. It will not stop there I plan to do some more searching tomorrow on Craigslist, pennysaver, and apartment.com and see what else is out there. I will try and keep you posted tomorrow with my results. Goodnight!!!!

Ok, my plan of action will be to spend up to two hours per day searching the net for apartment rentals. Next, on my days off and weekends I will go and stake out the neighborhoods of the place that holds interest to me. Then I will propose the possibilities to my sister at the end of the week. Finally, I will arrange apointments for walk throughs and report back to my sister what I liked and disliked; after that we will make one more appointment for my sis to take a look. I’m not going to set a deadline because I don’t want to rush into something that I will regret. I will try to comment once a day on my efforts of trying to find an apt. Feel free to add any resources that you may deem useful to me. Wish me luck:)
Sooo, once again the house hunting continues. Somewhere for August, I hope I can find something decent!
After 3+ years, I am getting a place on my own again. 37 and starting over! (But, oh, I want him with me.)
Let’s hope Chicago is good to me. Must haves: a dishwasher, good light, near transportation.
its necessary.
my original goal was to start seriously looking in january, be moving in febuary, be in my march.
im finding it necessary to move things a little faster. my home life has gotten completely out of control. to the point that i hate when the end of the day at work rolls around because it means i have to go
to the so called “home”. its not home though. home dosent need to be a place, as much as it needs to be a state of mind. a state of peace, relaxation, chillin out, doing what you feel fit without interference, confrontation, and being surrounded by addiction. a place where the moves of everyone living there are not scrutinized.
it dosent have to be world war 3 every night.
I might have found a room at least. Although I kinda feel I should start living alone, the security situation still scares me enough that I’d rather have some people around. So today I looked at a nice little house with a guy and girl. The girl was nice a enough, the guy a bit shy and not easy to read. As I am getting eager to move out of the guesthouse, I hope it works out and I can stop looking at houses that are way too big, way too expansive and just not right for me.
