I have four, one boy and the rest girls, all of them fixed. My cats are human-trained and housebroken, but my rules end there. I’m liberal with animals just like I’m liberal with kids. They each can do their own thing, provided they aren’t in any danger or destroying anything. They each have their own unique personalities and I have unique relationships with each one. My black and white spotted girl is the gymnist, my siamese is the warrior, my black fat cat is the Jewish-mother, and my orange tabby boy is the male prositute.
It’s also great fun to watch how they interact with each other and watch their behaviors. Once and a while a neighbor-cat will visit in my house for a bit, and it completely ruins the dynamics of the “pride”. So a fifth cat would definitely be out.

My husband and I have 5 cats. Shelly, Tony, Harley, Pooky, and Dallas. We would have more but they told us they didn’t want anymore by way of rejecting the strays we have rescued and tried to keep. We now spay/neuter the strays and find homes for them instead of trying to keep them, which is probably the best thing. I joke that we’ve reached our maximum cat saturation point.

Taylor has relented on the cat issue. Once we are settled in our new place, we can get another cat! I am thinking an orange boy cat would be fun, but whatever happens. Just happy to share the home and love with more precious kitties.

not sure about this goal anymore. i want to have a ton of cats, but it will be a long time before i move into a house and can do it. being crazy isn’t the primary goal anymore, either.
