get my classroom ready for the new school year

Blessings on the tiny pet caterpillar…and the largest…a horse named Speckels… and everything in between…living and stuffed.

Missed one of my favorite days at school. This morning we celebrate St Francis Day for the school children. No telling what happened today in the courtyard…or who showed up…in the past we usually have your basic domestic cat and dog…but we have had horses, goats, and snakes. I’ll have another chance tomorrow…our alternate schedule students will bring Fido and perhaps a Polly bird…who knows…I’ll bring my camera.

I was the caboose in a line of 3 yr olds…spied this cute jacket and thought our little scholar was soooo Stylish…made me think of my friend in Singapore… children do have their own pint sized fashion sense…my greatest wish is that they would keep their shoes on…maybe duct tape would be a nice accessory this season???

Great start…My classroom is clean clean clean…the posters were hung with the greatest of care and the bulletin boards look very welcoming…my lesson plans cover every minute of class time. Whew… and all the work paid off. Our first week went very very well.The mommies and the teachers were the only ones who cried. I’m still learning names…the trend this year…names that start with K…Kira, Kameron, Kaylee, Kaydon …yes they are way “kute”
