How to read the Book of Mormon"Reading the Book of Mormon is amazing and fulfilling each and every time."
How I did it: I just read and read and read and read. I just spent whatever time I could reading it. I loved it. I gobbled it up. It was "delicious" to me. I read (listened, obviously) when I drove, I read when I ate, I read when I was sitting at home doing nothing, I read while my girlfriend did homework, and I just couldn't stop reading. It was truly a wonderful experience. It got to the point where I hated getting texts because it would interrupt my reading. I loved it. Lessons & tips:

How I did it: I started last year, but I was always so busy and tired all the time, that I never felt like I had time. But I decided to make time, and set my priorities straight. After I finished I had a great sense of acomplisment and I knew what I had read was true.. Read how I did it…

Keep reading folks, I just started it again and I’m in 2 Nephi. I am trying to finish it again by the end of April. Let’s see some Mormon power on here! Let’s read!

I’m trying to read it within a week or so, and then keep reading it because I know if I just read it in a short period of time, that won’t be fulfilling enough for me. Right on Green29! You will be super blessed by this! Proud of you. This is one of the best goals for any person, member or not :)
I have been wanting to do this for a long time. Now I am at a point in my life where I feel like I need to do this. For myself, for my family and for my Heavenly Father.I need to feel the spirit and I know that by doing this I will be in tune with the spirit and be truly blessed.

The Nephites left Jerusalem, journeyed south-southeast past the Red Sea, turned left and spent 8 years walking east across Asia, then sailed the Pacific Ocean to get to the Americas. I never realized that before.
Is this common knowledge that I somehow just missed out on all these years?

I did finish reading it by the end of 2007 and started again on January 1, 2008. I just finished this morning, having read pretty much every day for the first half of the year. Yay!
Tomorrow I start again, perhaps in more than one language, and I have 184 days to accomplish reading it all the way through twice in one year. :)

I’m working on it…I like what I’m reading.
I have it, just need to read it – but not til I’m done with the older Scriptures. I have a theory that we get a little closer to Truth with each new “version” of religion – and a little farther away too – that each builds on the others. I’m looking forward to seeing how far in each direction these scriptures go.
