Am trying needle felting animals. Its fun but takes a long time and doesn’t quite look as good as the one I saw on you tube. Have ordered a book about it.

Two new things recently  — 3 weeks ago

I got my hair cut short! It feels great!

Also, I went to a job fair. I can’t say that it was a smashing success, but it was an interesting experience. It was worth a shot and it did give me a few ideas for trying something new this time around.

Pei Wei Asian Diner  — 1 month ago

I tried this new place that opened up near me. A friend and I went to lunch there today and had a great time. The food was good, it wasn’t terribly crowded (we went a little early) and of course, we had great conversation to go along with the food.

Wow - I'm behind on this one!  — 1 month ago

About three weeks ago I did decide to try something new to me: a SIMS type thing. I can’t call it a game; it isn’t at all. It is an aquarium. I love it – it is silly and I love it. I love taking care of my fish, seeing if I can get them to reproduce, and seeing if I rate a mermaid in my tank. Silly, unproductive, but relaxing…

I’m afraid that’s the only new thing I’ve done in the last four weeks. I’ve got to get back to this – it is good for me!

    Birdie  — 1 month ago

I fed birds at the zoo and got bitten so hard I was bleeding.

    Taper  — 1 month ago

I ran 2000m intervals for the first time today. It’s a nice distance, I really enjoyed the training.
I’m also, for the first time, substituting some of my running miles with biking. I hope that the lower impact of cycling on my legs will have a positive effect on my shin splints without taking away fitness.

    Washington  — 1 month ago

My first time in Washington DC, first time I saw the White House, Capitol etc. in reality. Pretty neat, I must say!

    Flying  — 1 month ago

I’ve flown alone before, but yesterday was the first time I’ve been flying without Jon in America, and the first time I’ve gone to Washington, D.C. I can’t really see I saw the city, because it was late and dark and we were just driving by, but I did see that big Lincoln Memorial from the highway.
I’m also in Virginia now for the first time in my life.
Later I’ll go shopping here for the first time. The hotel is conveniently located in a shopping mall!

Before we left home, I also swam in the Atlantic ocean for the first time this year (at least in Cocoa Beach, I’ve been in the water in Miami in February), used my drypak for the GPS and the camera in the ocean and ran barefoot in my bikini on the beach, cooling of in the water for the first time this year.
