Worth doing!
So yesterday, I was walking out of lunch, and all of the sudden I see my father. He came up to me and told me he got tickets for the Marc Jacobs fashion show afterschool! So afterschool I rushed home, put together a pretty ugly outfit in the 5 minutes I had, with no time to do makeup or hair, and off we went. It was incredible. I got a free Marc Jacobs tote, was asked to sit in the front row with several Taiwanese and Chinese movie stars and embassadors. It was SO COOL. I also got free champagne. After the show I tried to sneak backstage to meet the models and was caught. But the guy who told me to leave later lead all the models out and over to me. I was surrounded by models and got to talk to them! And people were staring and taking my picture and glaring at me. It was amazing. I still can’t believe it happened.
On a sadder note, in an attempt to take one of my fashion-loving friends to a show today, it all backfired. I had to call her and tell her I was canceling it and she sounded so dissapointed. I told her it was an unsure thing though. And if she doesn’t forgive me for this then she really isn’t a good friend, because I forgave her for something horrible in the past.
And I’m not bringing her to a show with me. She told a bunch of people about me going, leading to many people sucking up (which I hate) and I’m sure she’ll bitch about me. Probably is now.
Oh well. I have other friends.
