I don’t think people read body copy. I think we’ve entered a frenzied era of coffee-guzzling, fax-sending channel surfers who honk the microsecond the light turns green and have the attention span of a flashcube. If the first five words of the copy aren’t, ‘May we send you $700?’ word 6 isn’t read.

Muriel is realizing her life circumstances.
- Capture the reader’s attention like a stop sign and direct it like a road map.
- Make an emotional connection before attempting to convey information.
- Write headlines that offer a reason to read more.
- Use pictures to attract and convince.
- If you want people to read your text, make it readable.
- Test before, measure after.
- When everyone zigs, it’s time to zag.

I came so close to being awarded a project by ParisianEvents.com
I suggested sending them a sample brochure design based off their website, which is what their project wanted – but of course they didn’t respond after I sent the design.
How rude…

Muriel is realizing her life circumstances.
While in search of all sorts of knowledge today, I signed up with Guru.
My fiance has used them as an employer, but I am trying them as a professional. I’ve already submitted my first bid, but who knows if I’ll be awarded the project.
I think this will be a great opportunity for more money experience in my field.
Anyway, if all works well, I may upgrade my account so I can view more projects and bid however many times I want. Guru has quite a few limitations on their Basic plan…
