I once heard if you imagine something happening, you have a better chance of achieving it. Well, I’m sure DOING has a lot more to do with achieving a goal, but imagining can’t hurt if it helps to keep us motivated, right?
I actually started this a few weeks ago. With a little help from the family, we pulled up (and raked up) the weeds. Then we dug up some grass from the backyard where I wanted to expand the mulch islands (I have gardens in the backyard) and replanted the dug up grass into the front yard. Bam! Instant free St. Augustine grass plugs! I’ve been watering it regularly and it’s starting to come back. Since my front yard is in full sun most of the day, I just hope the grass gets strong enough and thick enough before the heat of the summer hits so the lawn has a chance this time…
