It seems so ironic that I haven’t traveled outside of the US yet. I was an International Affairs major in college, I converted to a religion not native to this country, I have many international friends, I learned a new language, I worked for an International program and an International agency, but never have moved out of my home town or visited another country! I got a full scholarship to study abroad but couldn’t go because I needed to stay to care for my family. It seems money, time, and my busy every day life are stopping me—how can I get there

How I did it: I decided I wanted to go someplace new and decided a scuba vacation would be the best way to do it. I've now been to Mexico and the Bahamas (Nassau once and Freeport once) scuba diving. Before I left the country the first time I did realize I needed my passport and did get that. I also read a little on the internet for useful information I should know. Read how I did it…

It’s going to be extremely hard to swing this in 2009. Mainly because I’m not in school anymore, and I dunno when my temp jobs end or begin. I signed up for a mission trip to Japan in June/July with my church, hopefully I can follow through with that, but that’s all up to Big Guns Upstairs.
I used to be quite the world traveler in my college years. China, Philippines, Malta, Lebanon, Syria and all over Europe. I went on these trips to spread the gospel, and every one was successful. In fact, I can’t imagine going to another country anymore and not turning it into some kind of missions trip.
