I went to a barber styling salon in louisville, ky. and had a fantastic shave. Actually i get one everytime i get my haircut. I have extremely sensative skin and to boot very dry as well. I get baby butt smooth each time with no irritation(my skin actually feels better after then when i walked in)and well moisturized. The steam towels are heavenly and they use (Truefitt&Hill)Hot lather , (Geo F. Trumpers) skin food and (Truefitt&Hill) west Indie Limes after Shave. Farrell is my barbers name and i highly recomend if ever in louisville to get a face shave. As a plus he offers the first one free unconditional no matter if your from out of town. Well, I was happy to do this, but I can’t say that I’d ever do it again. While in New York City, we went to this barbershop in Astoria, Queens, to get a “proper shave.” I think the best part about it was the hot towel, since the rest of my shave the guy spent trying to “fix” the cuts he inflicted upon my face. I think he really started to freak out because he took the owner/manager outside to discuss the situation. I maybe should have kept my mouth shut because my brother thinks I could’ve gotten a discount, but I mentioned that I have sensitive skin and the owner took that ball and ran with it, waving whatever chance I had at a discount goodbye. I got a very clean shave, albeit the fact that you had to avoid the sores on my face to feel it. Oh, but that hot towel was something else…

Done each time I got my haircut at my local barber in Japan. Not enough hair to bother going now but I rather miss the shave.

I am going to NYC in December to visit my brother and bring him home for Christmas. So I thought to myself, what better place to complete this goal than in NYC?
