    Amy loves my life!!

    September 26th 2 months ago

Getting ready for a joint sale with my parents on September 26th. Hope to get rid of TONS of stuff!

    Living minimally 3 months ago

I want to sell off a lot of my stuff, because I subscribe to the philosophy that the more stuff you have, the more stress you’re under, because you have to take care of it. It’s just a burden, a liability, to have all this junk.

I was inspired by my friend this weekend. I have alot of stuff I am not using and it is cluttering up my life. I am going to get started today with weeding through it and preparing for a yard sale. Whatever doesn’t sell I’ll take to charity.

made 45.75 and I liked it so much that i'm doing it again! 5 months ago

not really, i’m doing it again because i still have way to much stuff. i’m going to yard sale as much as i can all summer and before i head to school i’ll donate whatever is left over.

    End Result 5 months ago

This is the end result of this goal, but there are other steps required to make this happen, which are much more important. I have to do every single piece of laundry, even the winter stuff that I don’t wear that I always leave at the bottom of the pile. Then I have to go through everything in the house and decide what I don’t need (lots of stuff!) Those two things are more important, but having the goal of the yard sale will make sure I accomplish both of them.

I have so many things I just want gone, I am having another sale this weekend. Hopefully this will clear out a bunch and then I look into giving leftovers to goodwill.

    One Down 7 months ago

we had one just one day, last saturday. It was a good day, we made $145 bucks and got rid of some bulkier items, like a semi broken stereo, an little used keyboard and stand, and a leather jacket. I still have boxes and boxes though, and 2 small desks and some CD racks that I really hope to sell before summer is up.

    next weekend 7 months ago

this was planned for this weekend, except I forgot it was easter weekend, I didn’t really get prepared in time, and then there were tornados friday, so, we put it off until this coming weekend. The good thing is I did price and sort almost everything, So I’ll be ready to go come next weekend.

    Time again 7 months ago

I’ve really been cleaning things out. I’m able to get rid of a lot of things I was too atached to before, but something in me has changed. I’d like to have less stuff. So we are selling a lot, including some furniture, where I have changed things around a bit.

Margaret asks, “My main concern right now is prices. Does anybody have some sudgestions on how to set a fair price for a yard sale item? Does anyone perhaps have default prices for specific kind of items (Books, toys, etc.)? Any help would be appreciated.”
