meet my best friend

I “met” you freshman year, probably, I think. Funny how it all works out. You’ve been such a force in my life its like time is irrelevant. I remember that it was through Sarena, though, I remember hating you for stealing her attention. Always so possessive. And then I talked to Sarena less and less, and to you more & more. I don’t know when we revealed our shared dream of living in Chicago, don’t remember when we decided to go together. It’s been awhile though. It’s still a dream. I feel like maybe it’s fading but I’m willing to fight for it if you will. You’re the only person I can share myself with completely, stripped, without fear. If this doesn’t work out- you & I in the city- I don’t know if Chicago will still hold that hope for me. If I lose you, I lose everything. Please stay with me. Please struggle. You are my best friend and I love you so much, despite the occasional bitterness and disappointments. Despite your obvious loyalty to to this girl you ‘love’. She’s fucked you over, she’s fucking you over, you’re okay with this. I don’t know anymore. Just don’t let her steal you away.

Wouldnt that be cool? Its crazy how the internet works sometimes. I never wouldve imagined it, but now that i met him on the internet, i couldnt imagine my life without him.

David has been my best friend for 12 years now (not to mention I’m in love with him). But, I’ve never met him, and he’s never even seen a picture of me. Crazy how the internet works sometimes. When I lose weight to a point in which I’m comfortable, THEN I’ll fly there and meet him.

We’ve been best friends for 2 years, and yet have never met in person. We came so close last year, but then her son got sick and since we didn’t want to infect my kids, we canceled the meeting.

Now, I have NO idea when it’ll happen, and it makes me sad.

Well, if you are, give me a few months. I just lost the person I thought would be my best friend forever. After three years, we finally decided (mutually) that we just weren’t meant to be. Where do you go from here? I’m sure everyone has been through this, but at the time it just seems so sad, ya know?

My other best friend is 4 hours away most of the year for college. :(

i had one best friend. she made some bad choices so i had to stop being friends with her. Then i had another best friend, and we basically became two different ppl in highschool. We’re still friends, but not best friends. Then i had another best friend, and she ditched me for a group of fake/superficial girls. I’m just hoping for a best friend that i can tell everything to, and be myself with.

cause my “best friends” have come and gone… i’d like to meet one that is more permanent.. any suggestions??

I have no advice as to how to go about it, but once you find them (in my case, a them), you’ll absolutely know. The crazy-instant intuitive love, acceptance, brutal honesty, and lifelong connection is one of the best combinations in the world.
