try out for Real World

I want to be on the Real World. On MTV.

I don’t really fit any stereotypes, but it can’t hurt to try out, huh?

i really would like to try out for the real world but i dont know how?

I tried out for Real World/Road Rules when I was younger. I got a call back, but it did not go further than phone interviews and faxes. I was so eager to be on this show that I signed a contract without really thinking about it and years later, after graduating college and becoming a teacher, it came back to haunt me. One year MTV decided to do a show on how they cast for the Real World/Road Rules and low and behold, there I was on the show, revealing my life to the world and singing and playing the piano for God knows how many viewers. I had no idea the show had aired until the next day at school, hundreds of students came up to me saying they saw me on the Real World casting show. It was embarassing for me.

I still watch Real World/Road Rules every now and then and I see some of the cast members just making complete fools of themselves. Sure, that doesn’t matter at all now, but later on in life, thanks to the Internet and DVD and fan followings, that person who was portrayed on the show who you wish would just disappear, will always be around just like a skeleton in your closet.
