How to learn the phonetic alphabet"Easy peasy"
How I did it: I just looked them up on wikipedia and just kept reciting them. At first I did A-J but then realising how easy it was just went the whole hog! I just recite them every so often to myself just to help it stick in my mind.

How I did it: Used the flashcards on the website given by someone else on 43 things, plus practising it at work with my boss who used to be in the airforce - he got me to speak to him phonetically which was tricky at first but it's good because you're not trying to remember the alphabet AND the phonetic alphabet (as in, if you were only trying to teach yourself by reciting the alphabet in order) Read how I did it…

How I did it: I used some free flash cards on this website.phonetic alphabet flash cardsIt was pretty easy. Just go to this page and let it run. Do it over and over until you get it. I think it was like 2 hours in total for me to get it with this page. Before that I tried like 6 hours with a list. I got no where with that. I would have to say the whole thing to get the letter I wanted. This method makes you learn it right! Read how I did it…

I know know A-J
Although sometimes B for Bravo trips me up.
I think I need to move on and learn some more and then come back and really test my knowledge of how well I know these.
Next stage: K-Q

This week I’m going to learn B, D, E, G and H (at least) by heart.
I’m an actor, and knowledge of phonetics and the phonetic alphabet gives one a step-up when learning dialects (many dialect books and dialect coaches use the phonetic alphabet.)
takes 10 mins to learn – you’ll find you already
know most of them! Worth learning even if only for spelling things over the phone!
