I had really long hair in my younger years, but never fully appreciated it during that time. :( When I was a kid, my mom would help me get ready for school and style it with bows and ribbons, in braids or curls, etc., which was cute. But around 3rd or 4th grade, when I was charged with the task of doing all that work on my own, the too-easy ponytail became a daily thing for me. By 7th grade, I’d had my fill of sporting the same boring and predictable style, so I shortened my hair to shoulder length and began to experiment. Since then, it’s never exceeded that length again… and I think I kinda miss it. :/
Sure, it takes an awful lot of work to keep long hair looking its best, and to make the most of its versatility (I am definitely not the only person I know who has given up on lengthy locks at some point because of Chronic Ponytail Syndrome). But I think I’m prepared to consistently put in that extra effort this time around. After all, I am an adult now, so I think of things differently than I did in my adolescence. Today, I can see the potential psychological benefit of taking the time to style myself up some big, sexy, movie star hair (or sleek, flowing, model hair) every day and consequently feeling a tiny bit more beautiful and maybe just a little special. It’s totally worth it. I mean… come on! Why not, right? Put your best face forward, I always say (and hair is very close to the face, so that’s SRSLY relevant here =P).
From now on, it’s just a matter of waiting patiently for growth (easier said than done – I really wish there was something I could do to make it longer faster T.T), and of getting my hair trimmed regularly (by someone I trust) so as to keep everything even and free of split ends.

My hair used to be down past my boobs, slightly curly at the ends, and a gorgeous brown colour(dyed close to my natural colour after having bleached it) and I naturally have golden higlights that I love. Problem is, I decided to be spontanious and now it is not yet chin length and a mix of copper and platinum blonde higlights and low lights.
I just want my pretty, long, and natural hair back.

When I was little, up until about Seventh grade I had long hair, and then short hair to my shoulders. Seventh grade I cut it super short to spike it. Then I kept letting it grow to about my shoulders or less, and then cut to spike it again. So, now I am trying to grow my hair out longer. It’s hard, I get it trimmed, but not sure what else to do. I used to do the hot oil treatment and I will think about doing that again.

My hair is about one inch from the upper part of my back! I love it, but am doing it to give to others less fortunate. Did you know it take up to 10-20 ponytails(depending on thickness and length of hair) to make one wig?! It’s well worth the time it takes! It looks so pretty! It’s really not that hard for me to maintain it, either. Using conditioner is key along with mixing up your shampoo routine. Hot oil treatments are beneficial as well as getting split-end trims when needed.
