stop being afraid of dogs

I am SO afraid of dogs. when i was a baby and had just learnt to walk, a huge dog 4 times as big as me came and knocked me over, barking loudly and licking my face. Ever since, I have been terrified of dogs. I am getting to know a tiny, sweet, snuffly pug, but i still get scared when he and his owner come to our house for dinner. I have been scared for ten years now.

a dog beat me when i was five. well, actually it was kind of the dog next door.

but today i can get over my fear. i just want to get rid of it, because dogs are all around me.
