i had a really good week. it’s definitely easier to avoid dairy than wheat. just one croissant egg sandwich on monday and then tonight i had cake. i’m pretty sure the brussels sprouts i stole from a friend’s plate tonight had butter on them too. all of these buttery things were delicious, but i do think that i tasted the butter in them more than i used to and it felt really heavy in my body. i must say, it’s getting easier to just say no to dairy.

oh, but that cake was really good – chocolate hazelnut mousse! mmmmmmmm. i forgive it for being heavy. :)

dairy is all over the place. i don’t think you realize it until you try to avoid it. i’ve noticed that whenever i choose not to eat dairy, the alternative is almost invariably much healthier and packed with vegetables. when going out, asian restaurants are an easy way to avoid dairy.

in the last week, i think the only dairy i’ve had has been in the butter croissant i had my egg and tomato sandwich on the other morning. both wheat and dairy in that one, but it was so delicious! i have to admit that croissant sandwiches are a weakness of mine.

still, i can’t say that i miss it terribly anywhere else. i don’t encounter good cheese in my everyday life as a budget-conscious student, anyway.

for now, i limit my dairy intake to the occasional special cheese tasting at wine and cheese parties and the occasional butter croissant sandwich. incredibly, not even pizza tempts me lately, but maybe i’ll feel differently after some drinking.

i kind of failed at this goal, bought some biscuits that had milk in them, i think i might for now let this one go or if its up to me then don’t have milk but if its offered to me by other people then i will just have it, i’m also trying to stop having eggs, i haven’t had actual eggs in like 2 months but end up eating eggs in products

i’ve really cut out cheese and yogharts at this stage, as well as ice cream and chocolate.
i still allow myself a little milk in my tea, and butter, which i want to further cut out, but am prettty pleased at my progress so far.

its been 3 months since i forst started to reduce my dairy intake

It helps that i’m extremely intolerant to it. I actually find the smell of dairy disgusting now.
