I’ve polished it up, spotted some flaws and ironed them out, now it’s down to the big test – my business advisor. He’ll have a big impact on whatever I do next. But as far as this thing goes – have I completed it? Well, yes – I’ve written a marketing plan!

I’m meeting a business adviser on Thursday to get his input on the marketing plan. I’ve got an idea, and lots of tactics to move on it. I don’t feel I know enough about the market I’m aiming at, but at the same time I’ve got nothing to lose in trying it out. Once I have a few customers I can start getting feedback from them and we’ll see what happens. It’s all a bit scary, but I’m moving forward.

So that’s good – now I can tinker. How can I serve the most people, do the most good, for the most profit?
Now there’s a question! lol

Today I went to a Business Link marketing seminar and came away with some great ideas and (most importantly) a marketing plan template! With all my notes and this template I’m going to start pulling a first draft together tomorrow. This is good progress – once I’ve done my first marketing plan, I don’t think it will be a block in the future – I can revise the one I have already. Very pleased.

I’ve committed to sitting with my partner at the end of next week to talk about it. I want to have a first draft by then. There are only so many books you can read (though I do love reading them!) before a deadline becomes useful.

Trying to pull together all the stuff I’ve been reading over the last couple of months. I’ve found a book with a structure I like, and I’m putting the pieces together. Is this a working document? I guess it is – the act of planning is more important than the plan! Or something like that. What did I read in ImageWork? Imagine the perfect result, working backwards see the steps you took to get there, then release it and let your unconscious do it’s work. My business adviser would have a fit if I told him that ;-)
