This was my first step to overcome my fear of heights. Me and my boyfriend booked it back in January as it was a first come, first serve deal over the River Wear in Sunderland during the Half Marathon.
To be honest, the worst part was walking up and down the ladders on either side. The zip line itself was awesome once I’d decided there was no way I was backing out. 1 week ago

Yesterday while talking to Alex, the firefighter and part time zip line tour guide, he offered to take us (Tiffany&I) ziplining for free @ Canyon Zips. We surely accepted the offer and met him today at 830am to check in. By 9 am we were off, learn safety, harnessing up and then a small ride to the initiation zip to learn how to ride&break. We completed 9 zips, 2 rope bridges and rappelled once at the completion of the day. Great experience, but not as thrilling as skydiving. Love bugs everywhere… ughhh! 2 weeks ago

I’ve gone on two zip line tours at Banning Mills outside Atlanta. Mind you, I’m a guy in my late-30’s and am 70+ lbs. overweight. But I was exhaliterating, not too physically demanding, and made me feel like I’d accomplished something great. 11 months ago
