Lessons & tips: well, learn a few useful words first and then move onto the verbs (if anyone needs any thing just contact me at sophie-_-rox-_-ur-_-sox-_-@hotmail.com) and ill tell you anything u need! or if anyone just wants a gool old Irish conversation email me! ill be glad to talk!! :]

I’m from Barrow, in Lancashire, but my family is originally from the Northwest of Ireland (Donegal and Armagh) I’m very proud of my culture and Would really like to learn Irish so i can feel more connected to my roots.

It should be easy to learn Irsh in Ireland, but its not. Probably should go to Russia.
I contacted Rosetta Stone, a company that makes interactive language DVDs/CDs, a while ago about having Irish as one of their languages. They promised to tell me when a course was created for it…a year or so later, and it’s done! If you’re interested, google rosetta stone. It’s expensive, but there’s a cheaper on-line version, but it’s time sensitive. I’m getting it to entertain me over the summer!

I don’t know how long I’ve been crazy about Ireland, its language, its music and its history. Hopefully I’ll get to be fluent in Gaelic and that this will allow me to appreciate Ireland even more.
I would love to learn Gaelic soo badly! Both my parents grew up speaking it, but my Mum has told me to figure it out myself!
