The old porch swing I wanted to do this with fell apart. Oh well.

I’m gonna try this in winter/late fall, to avoid mosquitos.
There may also be less risk of being scared to death by a deer in the middle of the night lol
We have this gorgeous new porch swing out by our pond. I love it to death; I’ll go out there all the time and lie on it, and just lie there for a long time, rocking, spacing out…I could fall asleep on it if it weren’t so cold at night.
So here’s my plan. I have steps involved in it;
First, get a sleeping bag.
Then, for preliminary testing; I get very cold in the middle of the night if I don’t have enough coverings. So after I get a sleeping bag, I’m going to try to sleep in it inside. Just in my normal sleeping spot, but with nothing else except the sleeping bag. If I wake up cold at any time during that, I’ll add blankets inside the sleeping bag.
Once I can comfortably sleep inside, I’ll start moving outside. I’ll start by lying out on the front porch in the sleeping bag and any other bedding I discovered I needed. No sleeping yet, just lying there. If I deep myself comfortable doing that, I’ll try sleeping. Too cold? Repeat the blanket additions.
Once I can sleep on the porch, I’ll do exactly the same thing with the ground outside the porch.
And then once I can sleep through all that, it’s swing time.
