Just returned from the Lake district yesterday. As it is usual for this time of the year, we met with quite a bit of rain. It makes walking less enchanting than what I have imagined but it does add a clean and wet feel to the place. brings out the colours too. Pity that there wasn’t much autmun colours that I was hoping for. It would have been nice to see some semblence to the New England fall colours but timing wasn’t on my side.
Drove around Windermere, Glasmere, Thilmere, Ullswater over the last 3 days and in the last day, headed south to York. Wonderful cathedral they have there. almost similar in layout to the one in Durham but more elegant, I think. Pretty good food too over the last few days. pigged out mostly at the pubs. they do manage some pretty decent food even in the most out of way places. Overall, no compelling reason to return in the near future but would certainly recommend it to friends!

hope the weather clears. it has been raining intermittently for the past 1 week. hope we get pleasant weather and some sun.
We have planned for a trip in October to the lake district after the exams. At least it is something nice to look forward to while preparing for exams. I have requested for a week between the release of the results and the actual trip itself, just to give me a buffer to work through my feelings before going for the trip itself. One way or another…
It’s probably too late to capture the fall colours. The wet weather this summer would probably not be helpful in creating the brilliant colours 3 years ago when the summer was especially long and hot. Anyway, it would be nice to be behind the camera again. It has been too many months.
