I have been consistenly been taking a class weekly. I just past my one year mark. I bought some tapes to do at home so I can increase the amount to 3 times a week.
How I did it: Private Reformer classes are too expensive so when I found a great deal on a refurbished machine, I grabbed it. I work out 3 times a week for 30-40 minutes a session. My mind and body loves this workout. The backs of my thighs have never been this firm in my life!

Liezy – our teacher – is leaving for Peru for 2.5 years! She said she found a great girl to replace her but I don’t want a replacement! I want Liezy! Luckily, she is not leaving until November so we still have some time to get used to the idea. I am keeping my eyes open for other classes though, just in case I don’t like the new girl.

I have been taking weekly classes for a while. Although I do feel my body getting stronger, I need to do it more often. I have to make time to fit it in more often
Part of why I enjoy my pilatesclass so much is because of the instructor, Lizzy. Even though I always feel like the biggest klutz in the room, she keeps encouraging me and has complemented me on my progress on more than one occasion. On Wednesday during the lesson’s relaxation I got an uncontrollable cramp in my right foot and she came over and took my foot in her hand to alleviate the pain. It didn’t help all that much but it was incredibly kind of her.
A couple of weeks ago I enrolled in a weekly one-hour class and one of the first things the instructor told us is that if you want actual result, you also need to do the exercises at home. I have been getting up twenty minutes earlier to squeeze in a short work out before going to work but I don’t know how long I will be able to fight the urge to hit the snooze button at 6.40am.
I have seen a Pilates Aero with Cardio Board on the QVC shopping channel which I would love to have. It costs way too much for me to buy right now – but it’s on my wish list!
I didn’t realize how much pilates works until I stopped doing it :(
The good thing about quitting something is that it becomes challenging again when you start back up!
My whole body is sore and besides I din’t notice any change on my resistance or weight. It’s not my thing, definitely.
