I’ve always enjoyed taking photos. After graduation I bought a really expensive Nikon. Every chance I get I try to snap some photos. With practice I hope that I can become a great photographer. Maybe even one day have my photos admired by others.

Wow, this is fun! I cannot say I will ever be great, but maybe quite good or at least lucky sometimes. In the past I have been afraid to waste the film, couldn’t spend the cash to develop pictures, didn’t want to be stuck with alot of ugly photos in envelopes that I would never be able to throw out. But I am just clicking away with my digital. I’ve been going out on my days off and carry the camera in the car. I’ve taken about 100 photos so far. Most not so great, but a few are wonderful. I upload them to the computer, delete the bad ones or the unfixable ones and feel over the moon about the whole thing really!
I’ve won a few awards and am becoming more and more active in my photography, so I’m making progress. I’m not sure exactly what defines “great photographer” though, that’s the hard part about these non quantitative goals.

Ha, was quoted over £2500 +vat for a bespoke web site! Probably very fair but… beyond what I can afford, so its back to Dreamweaver tomorrow morning with a bottle of icy cold water to battle the humidity of London in July! Its like NY but a few degrees cooler!
Been editing loads more of my work and getting it into a temporary site on photobox. They are looking good and

I am getting my pictures onto the internet. A great place to put them is http://www.photobox.co.uk/ It is a UK based site, but allows you to make prints of your photos, really cheaply and they are VERY good. I’m a fussy …. when it come to quality of pictures and I’m generally very pleased with the results.
You can set up pro galleries and show photos and even sell them.
So here’s a link to my picures and theres even a guest book!
Spending the day, and tomorrow and probably several others editing the photographs I took from Botswana and Namibia. What a photo opportunity, just incredibly dusty and theres so much dust on the chip of my digital SLR…..
Portfolio here we come, then onto showing the world

It’s also my first love…I’m obsessed all over again with images, gear, gadgets, etc… So now’s the time, I guess!
Cameras: Holga w/flash, Contax G1, Nikon FM, Nikon L1, Polaroid 600, some old Yashica TLR; also a Canon 814 super-8 camera and Bell and Howell 627 16mm film camera
